I've found these speakers on Amazon and all the reviews look like they're a great value. They also have a very attractive look. I'm looking to add these to my 5.2 (possibly rotate the speakers to 7.2) system as the primary stereo speakers. I love listening to music at a relativity high level and really getting into the details of the music; well as use the system for movies. I don't have a big budget but feel like these little guys are a pretty good bang for the buck and could be moved to surround down the road when I can afford some floor standing speakers.

I currently have the Onkyo 608 reciever, Polk CS10 center, Jamo SUB250, and some generic crappy surround speakers and 2nd sub.

If anyone has comments on these speakers, or the brand in general, or my setup, I would appreciate it much!

I have some warnings about the Fluance brand in general. They recently released the top of their line, the Signature floor standing speaker, and it has some serious problems.

You can read about it here, but that thread is very long and rambles. The take home message is that Fluance has some serious design flaws and quality control problems with that model. They claim they are remedying these problems, but the results are still unknown. Their other floor standing speaker, the XL7F has some ugly looking frequency response curves that may also indicate design flaws. I don't know if these problems also show up in their SX6 bookshelf speakers. As a result, I'd pass on Fluance speakers in general.

In roughly that price range, I can recommend the Affordable Accuracy monitors for $195 per pair. I know for certain that they do sound excellent.

I would really consider Cerwin-Vega. They make all different kinds of speakers in different price points. I'm sure you could find something you like. There also on Amazon.com. Check out the Cerwin-VEGA , SL5M. only 149.00 a pair. And I'll bet a much better performer.

Yes. I have A few friends who have them and absolutely love them. they also love the appearance of them. I have also purchased them for my computer . The plus side with Amazon.com, if you don't like them you can send them back. I don't believe you'll be disappointed. Please let me know if you give them a try. Cerwin-Vega has been around for a long time.

Would it be worth it to buy some speakers like this or save up a little longer...I love the Polk rti a3. Is there a substantial difference in quality from the $200 range to the $400 range? I would like whatever I buy to fit I to a really sweet system down the road...

That all depends on your ears. I wouldn't think so. If anything I would save up for some good floorstanding speakers in the future. But for now those bookshelves are pretty sweet

You could always buy both, A.B. them and send the pair back you don't want. I would think the Cerwin - Vegas would sound just as good, if not better
