I have some warnings about the Fluance brand in general. They recently released the top of their line, the Signature floor standing speaker, and it has some serious problems.
You can
read about it here, but that thread is very long and rambles. The take home message is that Fluance has some serious design flaws and quality control problems with that model. They claim they are remedying these problems, but the results are still unknown. Their other floor standing speaker, the XL7F has some
ugly looking frequency response curves that may also indicate design flaws. I don't know if these problems also show up in their SX6 bookshelf speakers. As a result, I'd pass on Fluance speakers in general.
In roughly that price range, I can recommend the
Affordable Accuracy monitors for $195 per pair. I know for certain that they do sound excellent.
