Hi all,
If ear height is the "best" position for the tweeters of your mains then why do floor standing speakers rarely have the tweeter at ear level? This is estimating that average ear height on a standard size sofa/recliner for an average person would be about 44"-46". Most floorstanders seem to be designed for short peaple on a futon.
I understand that making speakers taller would increase the price but...What am I missing?
Also with this in mind why do designers put the midrange over the tweeter sometimes?
Just wondering aloud again,
