Call me booshey...
It does appear those HSUs would hit harder (based on specs), but I would like to match my speaker and sub brand. How are HSU speakers?
Matching speakers and sub brands is absolutely not necessary. I'm running Hsu subs with SVS speakers. Good sub is good sub. That being said I've heard very good things about Hsu's CCB-8 Speaker line. Try not to get too hung up on matching your subs and speakers tho. It can really limit your choices.

Not sure I will go back and drop another $1700 on a subwoofer...
I have numerous hobbies that eat up coin (computers, cars, home projects, etc).
Only reason I wanted dual subs is to feel rumble from both sides (balance).
Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe a single sub can achieve this (logically speaking)?

I am probably going to pull the trigger on the X4300 today.
What is everyone's stance on extended warranties/insurance plans?
Subs aren't as directional as you think, and matching boxes for aesthetics doesn't always work all that well either even within a brand.

I did some measuring and thinking this past weekend.
Stepping back, I am very limited on room real estate (~150sqft).

I decided on the SVS Ultra Bookshelfs and the PC13-Ultra subwoofer for starters.
I have been reading about subwoofer isolation/decoupling...

This sub is going in an upstairs bedroom...
- How bad will vibration be considering it is a downward firing sub?
- Is the PC13 already decoupled or do I still need a platform of sorts to decouple?
- If I need to decouple, with it being a cylinder design, what are platform options?
- Trying to restrict as much noise to the room as possible (I live in townhome), would something like this help my situation?

- I am setting up the bookshelf speakers on opposite sides of the room. Would I have issue with sound quality if I hooked up one of the bookshelfs with these to cut down on cord clutter?

Those panels really only help to prevent reflected sound waves. They won't do much for "soundproofing."
