Fire TV App Store

So I bought a jailbroken box with kodi 17.1 and exodus. Somehow the memory kept getting filled up and I deleted a mess of apps starting with porn and cartoons. It didn't help. I ended up uninstalling kodi and installing a fresh version but am unable to get 'Downloader' from the app store to download exodus. I might have (pretty good chance) deleted App Store's data or something equally as reckless.

Bottom Line: I got the weekend to get this thing working again.

Error Message "Memory Full, Please delete some apps"

• Go to Settings-applications-manageinstalledapplications-Kodi-clear cache (not data)
• Then launch Kodi, go to the favorites tab, and click on Clear cache-raw maintenance.

General use for Kodi;

These directions can be applied to any add-on that is giving you an error message and isn't working, or an add-on you don't need, or families that don't want adult addons.

• You simply launch kodi, and go to the All Add-on tab
• Then go to the add-on you no longer want, and click the button with 3 lines on it (the menu button)
• Then click on information, and click on Uninstall
• Its that simply

At first I couldn't remember if I had done what you suggested but after reading the cut and paste thing I realized I had. At least I think it was cut and paste. Anyway, we're past that. I deleted and reinstalled kodi and there's a ton of room now in the memory but getting the Downloader app from the app store to download exodus isn't working.

I haven't really spent any more time with it due to sheer laziness, not even going through the links you provided ... yet.

I just heard from the girl that I have to get it done today. Yay. I love the pressure.

What version of fire tv are you using? I had read somewhere that the gen3s now use a Downloader that blocks installation of non approved apks. I'm sure there is a work around if that's the case. I'll have a box in home this week for a friend if you don't get it figured out by this weekend, I'll post what steps I use.

When/if you get it all sorted out, please let me know. I would like to hear your thoughts on the box. I'm thinking about ordering the Octacore box.

A friend of mine who has a fire stick says the Octacore box was the best pick due to memory or something. I'm unsure if the Fire TV is possibly a better choice for Amazon Prime members. I like Fire TV for Prime and Netflix but have not read about or laid eyes on an Octacore box. I actually do believe my friend about Octacore being the better choice. I might get an Octacore box and send the Fire TV back for reprogramming and then use it in a different room. I'll see how rich I feel in about a month.

I'm not sure yet what version my Fire TV is ... yet. Maybe I'll get a flashlight and roll around on the floor after I get done stuffing my face. I might have to do a factory reset on the box itself. It's anybody's guess what all I deleted trying to free up memory. Now that I think about it, I don't really understand why or how my memory got eaten up like that. Are you installing Kodi 17.6?

Thanks, I'm still waiting for the unit so I don't have an update. The 2nd Gen box you have should not be effected by the APK restriction update on OFW. This is the first one I've worked on, but I've installed custom OSs on a few android devices, and this didn't look as complicated.

17.6 is now available from the same guy Barry linked for 17.5 ... which didn't work ...

Sitting down and watching that got me 17.6. 20 minutes of stuff I never would have figured out on my own.

Now I'm looking to get Exodus. Wish me luck.

A search for Exodus onto 17.6 got me a video from the same guy. My box is a little different than his stick for the menu layout but I got it done.

I'm gonna try to reinstall this again with the clean no porn version. I should have done it that way to start with but ... I don't know. The other reason to reinstall is that I had trouble with the menu differences and had to backtrack a few times. It wasn't that difficult ... or was it? And I somehow found exodus and added it to favorites but it wasn't easy to access and of course I forgot how to get there.

Well, I went back and did it. Got the clean version. I'm surprised I got it either time to be honest. I'm starting to think Craig's optomistic rating might have been his vote of non-confidence in my abilities. Or he thinks the whole thing is ... lame. Maybe both. I can get Fox News though.
