Finally! 1080p and 5.1 Netflix on Xbox...

But they totally screwed up the video again! How can they not get this correct?! The new dashboard looks nice and contrast is great until you start playing video like Netflix. The black level is way too high and it is completely washed out. I have to set the black level setting on my Panasonic to "Dark" just to make it look OK. That crushes blacks on every other source, even the Xbox dashboard!

They had this problem a while back and they finally fixed it. How could they screw it up AGAIN?!

Anyone else notice this?

Bummer about the video, but I'm sure that'll get fixed. Congrats on the 1080p and 5.1! I've been enjoying that for a while on my PS3, and it's an awesome step up from stereo.

I think this is a combination of the two not playing nice together. When games are calibrated for video, it's done on the xbox, but i'm sure they don't recalibrate video on netflix for playback on xbox.

I thought more people around here used Xbox's for video stuff? Surely someone else would notice this.

It happens on all video. The YouTube app has the same problem. The interface looks great but as soon as a video starts playing the black level is way too high and it is really washed out looking. The same thing happens when using Windows Media Center to play content off my PC. It all worked fine before but after the dashboard update it doesn't.

It's a set standard. Why can't they follow it? I do not understand. I was able to program a button on my remote to switch the video settings on my projector to make it look OK but I can't do that on the TV. I have to go into the TV menu and change the setting every time. It is annoying.
