We're getting our basement finished and I think I'm starting to develop an anxiety disorder trying to choose my set up.

Option 1: All Paradigm

Fronts Monitor 7s x 2 for the Left and Right
Center CC190 x 1
Rear SS PV-60Rs x 2 for the ceiling
L/R SS PV-160 x 4 for the sides, square
Rear Wall PV-160 x 4 for rear wall, square

Option 2: NHT/Niles Mix

Fronts NHT L5 On wall
Center NHT Two C
Rear SS Niles CM6MP
L/R SS Niles CM6MP
Rear Wall Niles MP6 or PR6

Let me know what you think between the two.

Can't speak for the monitor line in particular, but my studio 20's V3 were the most amazing speaker I have ever heard. Try not to let this bother you. Listen to both, and make a decision. Unless you are an absolute nut, you will like the sound of either.

What do your ears tell you? The room acoustics will be different in your home than the store, but it's a start. Some stores will let you take a set of speakers home to audition them there. It's your ears, not mine that need to be satisfied. Audition everything you can in your price range.

FWIW I love the Paradigm Studio 20's I bought six years ago.
