So after just ordering from a local place I'm sitting here wondering where you all get your pizza from? Whether it be world wide franchise like Pizza hut, or small town pizza joint?

I usually order from a place call Tito's Pizza. They make decent pizza, but it's the price that makes it a no brainer. It's not as good as Pizza Hut (my favourite) but it gets the hunger in check.

2 x-large 3 topping
2 lbs of wings
1 garlic bread
1 mccain cake
4 pop
2 dipping sauce for $30.99 with free delivery.

Holy crap! You can eat all of that in one sitting?

Focus: There's a place down here that is as close to real NJ/NY style pizza that I've had since I left that area back in '93. It a hole in the wall joint called the Italian Deli. Oh and as a side note, pepperoni and sausage are my prefered toppings.

Back in NJ it was a place called Danny's Pizza 1 and Subs 2. If you're from anywhere around the Middletown/Red Bank area, this is the place to go! (If it's still there of course.)

Best pizza joint in the world (I have had pizza all over and nothing has compared yet) is Apizza Shoals in Portland Oregon. The dough is made the night before so it can proof and develop extra flavor. The sauce is made fresh as well, so is the sausage. Everything has top notch ingredients and tons of flavor. Nothing tastes like cardboard you get at the typical chains. The best pizza is the tartufo with sliced mushrooms - mozzarella, Parmesan and pecorino cooked to perfection in an 800-1000 degree oven with thinly sliced mushrooms and topped with black truffle oil.

Last time I was there we waited 30 minutes in the cold (around 40s) and another 20 inside before we could even order and it was worth it. Since I live many miles from there the second best bet is my pizza using a dough recipe developed by Apizza Shoal's owner, but my oven doesn't get hot enough for a proper char.

Slow food just can't be beat ;).

The best pizza EVER is in my home town of Bethalto, IL. Way back in the 1973 this Italian family (their name is Pizzo) moved to town and opened Roma Pizza. They started in a small building on Prairie Street and at first they knew hardly any English. When you'd call to order (377-5800 - I still remember the number) they would simply reply (with a heavy Italian accent) "Twennny minnitz". And then you go pick it up - no delivery - they still don't deliver. Since then they have moved twice - first to a bigger place - then they built a much larger building with a lot of room for dine-in seating. On any given night the dine-in seating is full and the line for pickup reaches back nearly to the entrance. They now have about 15 people that work the kitchen and are going on third generation employees at lot of whom are family.

Every time I visit home it includes at least one night of ordering Roma Pizza - and I usually bring some back to OKC with me - it's the absolute BEST!

When I order out, I get Papa Johns.

When I get it from the grocery store, my current favorite is California Kitchen's Garlic Chicken.

So you're set for the week.
That's like two days, man.

Well, at least when I do that. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner...oh, baby.

I get pizza regularly from one of to places. I live in a very small town and there is a deli about a mile down the road that has very good pizza. They aren't cheap though. Papa Murphys is the second choice at 12 miles away. There is a Pizza Hut, Dominos, and Godfathers pizza but I rarely eat pizza out and they don't deliver to my house. I have to travel to Olympia (30 miles) to get any other choices. If I'm getting pizza in Olympia I'll go to Brewery City Pizza or Apollos.

Now, my favorite pizza ever is in Canon Beach Oregon from Pizza A' Fetta. They make the best thin crust pizza I have ever had and they make everything fresh from scratch.

I go to this place called I Love NY Pizza. As good as the best New York style pizza in NYC.

Sometimes we'll do some Domino's.

Pizza is one food I can never get sick of. I have had a lot of good pizza from many different pizza joints but I prefer making my own because it is cheaper. Lately I have been adding a mix of cheeses which include mozzarella, Parmigiano-Reggiano, smoked gouda and/or smoked cheddar and I have found it has worked quite well in a lot of topping combinations that include mushrooms, sausage, peppers, pepperoni, bacon, onions and chicken.

My favorites:

Oregano's is awesome. Nothing touches it here in Phoenix (except for Pizzeria Bianco which is not in the same class of restaurant type.)

Uno's on Ohio and Wabash in Chicago.

On a side note, this thread has made my lactose intolerance kick in...back later...

There's a place in Harvard Square called Pinocchio's that I like. But nothing compares to the pizza I've had in Sardinia.

That's the first thing that I noticed after "pizza." Well, after my third eyelid opened up again. Just the thought of pizza puts me into a feeding frenzy.
