I loved these oldie rock bands... in no particular order...although i must say I preferred listening to the European bands more. :cool:

* Uriah Heep
* Queen
* U2
* Europe
* Van Halen
* Whitesnake
* Scorpions
* Kiss

Each of them had a distinct music style. Awesome groups!

Led Zeppelin....Black Sabbath....Ted Nugent

This probably belongs on the "Best Concerts" thread...but 1974 - Robin Trower, Montrose, Humble Pie...it was a while before the hearing was back to normal :D

I would like to know who your favorite Metal/Rock band is?

Mine is Queensryche.

Just state it.
I should add Rush, Satriani, Malmsteen, Vai, Vaughan and Van Halen (old) to my short list.

Menudo.

I have an old Mega Deth LP from way back when. I think "Peace Sells" was the name of it. Anyone remember them?

Godsmack Rules

Too much talent for the casual listener to appreciate. Shannon Larkin can bang the skins like no tomarrow! Sully Erna is multi talented on vocals, bongos, and drums.

I also like AC/DC - ZZ Top :D Lots of great bands out there!

Killer Drum Duo/Battle on some awesome Yamaha Drum Kits!

Deftones are metal?

Lacuna Coil isn't metal either, IMO. More like hard Evanescence...:D Good stuff, but not metal.

Metallica - And Justice for All - greatest Metal album ever, Master of Puppets, a close second.
Yngwie Malmsteen (with or without Rising Force, with either Jeff Scott Soto or Mark Boals and lead singer, and NOT with Joe Lynn Turner as lead singer)
Dio - either with or withot Sabbath. He was great with them, and great without them.
Pantera
Disturbed - Didn't see these guys mentioned anywhere. IMO, a cut above the rest of today's screamers.
