Just one? That's a toughie. I could narrow it to Priest, Maiden & Queensryche, but not a single one. So many great ones.

I have many favorites, in no particular order: AC/DC, Judas Priest, Mettalica, Motley Crue. Queensryche to me is a band where they are hit and miss with limited songs that I like along with such bands as Poison, Skid Row, Whitesnake, and Warrant. Actually Warrant doesn't have limited songs that I like, they only have one song that is good, "She's My Cherry Pie". I remember the days when Empire came out. Those were some great days in my life. Before Empire ,Queensryche was barely on the map. Empire was definitely a good album, Its to bad they couldn't build on it.

As a long time Queensryche fan, I'd say Empire was their death knell- it was their first truly mediocre album. It had a few good songs, but it didn't sound like "real" Queensryche, at least not to me.

Proud member of the KISS army here. Been my number 1 band for almost 30 years now. I've even met them a few times. Other favorites are Led Zeppelin, Rush, and the original Van Halen lineup.

Tool.

Might not be "heavy" metal, but about as heavy as I can take it these days. They are a real talent. :)

JUDAS PRIEST............................no nonsense,unadulterated,kick-a$$ rockers who produce pure metal, not noise.

Pat Travers was great when he had Pat Thrall with him..................still pretty good.

Love Queenryches' debut CD............if only it was recorded better.

I like the band that started it all, Black Sabbath.

Another old school answer - Montrose.

You might remember their 'little kid' lead singer - some no-name by the name of Sammy Hagar...

I'd have to say good old Van Halen. The energy in their music is hard to beat. I'm a fan of both eras, but tend to lean a little toward "Van Hagar".

Yeah, even give a couple remasters it still sounds just okay. Too bad, as it and The Warning were both brilliant (I think The Warning sounds even slightly worse than the EP, sadly enough). I've got an Japanese remaster of the EP & Mindcrime from a few years ago and the recent domestic remasters of all of them. The sound is an improvement.

QR is first band I ever saw on my own and the last rock show I've been to. They played in the Pavilion last fall, and they were still amazing. Sadly, DeGarmo wasn't on that leg of the tour, but Wilton was phenomenal.

System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Fugazi....

I find myself drawn to the punk/pop stuff from Offspring, Blink, Weezer, Me First & The Gimme Gimmes primarily though.
