I knew Fantastic Four was going to suck when I read the cast list. That was a movie made by studio accounts and actuaries.

Fantastic Four Recipe:
1. Appeal to the lowest common demoninator
2. Liberally mix in the worst Simpson/ Bruckheimer stereotypes
3. Throw in a montage
4. Add in some lame metal
5. Bake for 90 minutes
6. Remove from the oven, cool; eat.
7. Die from malnutrition

[FF] I give the movie 3 outa 5 (an Average movie. Dr.Doom brings it down from Good) - totally agree

The Punisher (2004): Good. The "feel" of the Punisher is kept intact even if the film strays from the humor that the Garth Ennis written series had (noteably lacking: The Russian didn't talk).

The Hulk: Hulk Smash! The film was really dull. And Hulk-dogs?! Puh-lease. Bad movie - thought was a bit better than this. First view was terribly disappointed but since it has grown on me. Would have benifited from a lack of Nick Nolte

DareDevil: Another awful film. Terrible, terrible editing, and a ho-hum overall feel to it. - yep

Spiderman & Spiderman 2: Awesome - S2 was awesomer

Elektra: Probably as bad as Daredevil. Really had nothing to do with the comicbook - I'd rather gouge my eyes out than watch that again

The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The studio should have known that an X-Men type franchise centered on 19th century literary figures was doomed to become a special-kind of movie loved only by creepy kids who read 19th century literature. Plus any valuable story that could have been was squished-out by the short running time. It would have been a much better miniseries on TV. - meh

The Punisher (1993): Egads....... why is that guy speaking in rhyme? - really, no skull shirt? How did they think this wasn't going to flop?

Man-Thing: Horrible - didn't see

Blade: Awesome. - yep

Blade 2: Ho-hum - yep, but it's grown on me

Blade 3: Stupid - craptacular

X-Men: Very Good - yep

X-Men 2: Awesome - yep
I mostly agree with you...see my edits

I'm in the camp that goes to movies for basic entertainment and F4 definitely did that for me. The Hulk was so slow and boring that I actually fell asleep during it. Worthless story, worthless film.

F4 was more of an intro movie the way that X-Men and Spiderman (1st movies) were intros. Hi, these are the players, and this is how they got their powers, and this is their situation. Nothing to crazy going on there and the F4 have never had the inner turmoils to deal with the way that X-Men or Spidey has. Spiderman for sure as he has had a lot of 'heart' in all the comics and they have maintained that on film.

F4? They are superheroes, they fight bad guys, they are a team, they have some internal drama.

Oooohhh - Fire, rock, hot chick... Good effects, some explosions...

This is about as average as a film can be. Far better than the poor reviews. To call it LESS than average is wrong. Because Spiderman and X-Men are not 'average' - They are far superior films. If your expectation is A+ work, and you see C level work, you will be disappointed. If you expect C level work, and you see C level work, you will come away happy.

Yeah, I'm easy to please. ;)

I totally agree with the above said. I watched this for the first time. I was expecting C work and I got C+ work. I thought it had an alright soundtrack. Good CG. It was what it was, a setup for the next movie and I was entertained.

Who are they? And why do they have the rights?
They made the godawful 1991 Captain America movie.

IMDB now has a Captain America movie dated for release in 2007. But no official word on which studio, director, writer, or actros will be in it. Since nothing has been confirmed, its safe to say 2007 may be a little optomistic (just look at the history of Superman. The finest remake 1997 was supposed to offer).

Hey don't diss montages. What about team america? It had a kick a$$ montage.

They even had a song....

Hey!
The hour is approaching to give it your best
And you have got to reach your prime!
That's when you need to put yourself to the test
And show us the passage of time
We're gonna need a montage (Montage)
Oooo, it takes a montage (Montage)
And just show a lot of things happenin' at once.
Remind everyone of what's goin' on. (What's goin' on?)
And with every shot, show a little improvement
To show it will not take too long
That's called a montage (Montage)
Dude, we want a montage (Montage)
In anything, if you want to go
From just a beginner to a pro
You'll need a montage (Montage)
Even Rockey had a montage (Montage)
Always fade out in a montage (Montage)
If you fade out it seems like more time has passed in a montage (Montage)

hahaha I'm priceless :)
