Just got the email. Vudu will become Fandango at Home, looking to capture another chunk of the streaming market. They bought Vudu from Walmart back in 2010, but seemingly haven't done much with it until now. You can rent for more than a ticket in the theater costs lol or buy for just a bit more, except that you can stream movies that are still in the theater for those prices. 100% on demand, no contract.
