Bass shakers only go to 5 hz.

The phoenix gold one seems more compact, both look very cool, wish i could experience it.

There should have been no sound at all, Just the house vibrating. If you can hear anything at those frequency's it will be harmonic distortion. I played a 20hz tone on the Velo DD15 and I could not hear it at all except that the whole house was about to fall apart, walls, roof and the windows sounded like they were going pop right out :D I then played a 15hz tone and hell yea, this'll bring your house down  :D

cheers :)

I have had my hearing verified down to 17hz and up to about 18.5K. It may depend upon the individual. :)

Yes, this is not only dependent on the individual but also on the SPL at the given Fq. In other-words one may be able to hear an undistorted 20Hz note at 100db but will not hear it at 60db. Below is a 'Threshold Of Hearing' graph from here to illustrate.

cheers:)

I was going to say, old hat; helicopters already used this principle in the 40's, but Brian beat me to it.

Seriously, I hope folks are aware that high levels of sound at those frequencies could permanently damage body organs.
