There is a fine line between abusing civil liberties and providing public security/law enforcement. Just because clandestine surveillance is not used against you in court doesn't mean it wasn't used. It is quite easy to hide a color camera now days. Anybody can buy a color pinhole CCD that is only 0.30 inch square and run it with a 9 volt battery.

Don't be such an alarmist. It's not like the technology exists to have full motion video and audio 2 way communication from my cable box.

No way there is a camera behind that smoked plastic cover.

What about having an affair.

Say someone is having an affair and the camera in the living room installed by Big Brother catches it. Can this be used in a divorse court by the offended spouse. The people involved in the affair did nothing illegal, yet ethically they are wrong.

Who draws the line? What is the line?

Basically the Houston Police Chief is thinking about putting surveillance cameras everywhere. Including inside private homes!!!

They are probably already doing this.

Reality TV, hidden camera shows, etc. In the case of reality TV everyone knows there is a camera, in case of hidden camera shows, they are told after the fact. It does not take a large stretch of imagenation to conclude that there are people on camera that will never know that they were.
