A: You need an equipment rack, setting the receiver on the carpet isn't a very good idea for the sake of the receiver and a potential fire hazard. Just get a cheap Wal-Mart stand to start with, they have nice looking A/V stands for right around $100 at Wally World. B: The center is to far below the tv, or rather the tv is to high. I could see you having neck problems from looking up to watch tv. C: Last suggestion, it looks like the fronts aren't toed in. Toeing them in will improve your imaging in most cases. I didn't see a sub or surrounds, so some other upgrades maybe?

I think you did a good job. It's very clean looking, no wires all over. But, like Sheep had asked, "where's the sub?" Jack ps. It probably wouldn't hurt to get some space between the components for breathablility, will help them last longer.

I am quite content with the base I am getting out of the 603's though. As far as the Media rack go's If I end up doing anything I am going to get some metal rods from home depot and build some thing small. I know having my equipment stacked like that is hard on it but oddly enough things don't get too hot. I had my speakers toed in a lot more then they are but with them being so close you lost a sense of left and right sound. It blends well at that distance... too well. So I toed them out more. Personal preference sort of thing on that deal. The surrounds are actually Canton Mx's (satellite speakers) I have them behind the couch on the window sill. Not best placement for them but once again I didn't have very many options. I will post a couple of more pictures so you get a better feeling of the room. Oh and yes your point about the tv being too high. No neck problems but damn I hate it when people talk out of their feet some how = P

And why my equipment is hidden like it is. This room is a focal point when you walk threw the door. I am enjoying the best of both worlds. Its appealing and I have if not good decent surround sound.

I will continue testing this setup and let you know. Another problem I am having is seeing the screen. I am thinking about adding a mirror above the sub angled so I can see the tv.

I didn't realize that was where you intended to keep the sub. I thought you were testing it, you know the whole put the sub in or near the listening position while you crawl around on you hands and knees looking for the sweet spot. I guess I should have figured that out since you said you where trying to avoid annoying the neighbours. I have neighbours, and I care not what they think.
