Yeah, I've heard the beach was especially hot this year. We've been to Ocean City a few times, as well as Cape May over the years. Cape May was cool because of the the seafood restaurant on the wharf. Can't get enough of those fresh shrimp.
Also, been to Stone Harbor, too. That was nice also.
I basically miss Banner Elk, North Carolina - which is about 20 miles from Boone, N.C. We were up on the mountain at about 4,500 feet in elevation. Temps at night were in the 60s. The daytime temp was no higher than 82. We didn't use the A/C in the rental house - didn't need it. We did use it in the car because I hate wind noise.
Here was the view from our back deck. That's Grandfather mountain - and Sugar mountain is off to the very right of the picture. I hated to leave the place last Friday - way too peaceful.
