Supposed to be 102 (F) today. Humid, too. I can't believe I just finished applying driveway sealer to my asphalt driveway and pushed the lawnmower, too.

Time for a drink ... it must be 5 O'clock somewhere. Hmm ... let's see, should it be?

Or ...

It's never too hot for an intervention so you may as well drink everything you can stomach because no doubt there are people who love you rushing over right now to save you from yourself and wreck your buzz. :D

We were over at the beach 7:30 this morning and it was 82.
With no off shore breeze, and the wind out of the south west, it's not even nice there. Except for the weekend volley ball tournaments.:D

Yeah, I've heard the beach was especially hot this year. We've been to Ocean City a few times, as well as Cape May over the years. Cape May was cool because of the seafood restaurant on the wharf. Can't get enough of those fresh shrimp. :)

Also, been to Stone Harbor, too. That was nice also.

I basically miss Banner Elk, North Carolina - which is about 20 miles from Boone, N.C. We were up on the mountain at about 4,500 feet in elevation. Temps at night were in the 60s. The daytime temp was no higher than 82. We didn't use the A/C in the rental house - didn't need it. We did use it in the car because I hate wind noise.

Here was the view from our back deck. That's Grandfather mountain - and Sugar mountain is off to the very right of the picture. I hated to leave the place last Friday - way too peaceful.

That would be the Lobster House, awesome place for fresh seafood, :)

It is 97 degrees right now at 7:22 pm , no breeze and just plain HOT.

You guys don't know what hot is. Just finished cooking 900 meals for my hotel dining room and a wedding for 175, but now it's Heineken time and a little Blue Man Group at a decent db level. That's the life of a chef, what life????

Here in Condo Land it's been 75 degrees all day. Then I put on my monkey suit with $8 socks and a $33 tie to drop off a resume and sweat my monkey balls clean off. Now it's condo time again. I think I'll have a cold fake beer to help me chill as soon as I wash this monkey spunk out of hair. ;)

Well, I survived the heat wave - a nice storm brewed through and dropped the mercury a bit.

Yesterday, I decided on the Jeremiah Weed vodka. Nothing refreshing like sweet tea vodka on such a hot day. Ended up having 6 shots of it (with water, ice and lemon) - after figuring out a great idea to keep the vodka in the freezer - Yum!

Then, I headed out to see the Marshall Tucker Band performing at a local small venue. Had a Sam Adams - didn't seem fitting to the occasion. What's southern rock without more sweet tea? I then switched over to Firefly and had 3 of those puppies. Still trying to decide if I like Jeremiah Weed or Firefly better. Some folks think Jeremiah is slightly sweeter.

Bah 102 isn't that hot. But do make sure you drink plenty of fluids. One easy way to keep cool is to hold something cool in your hands. You want something more than water. We've had a very mild summer in North Texas. It's only 90 atm. Feels good, but I know that blistering cold weather is coming soon.

True. But, in our area, they say "it's not the heat, it's the humidity". When I checked the weather at 11 a.m. this morning, the mercury was 96F. However, the heat index was already 105F.

Sounds like it is hot everywhere. just 90-94 here on the Florida east coast but humid as can be. In spite of that very little rain the last month which is normally our rainy season.

In the words of that Loser seer 'we're all gonna die'. I was thinking last january what we would give here to let loose one winter day in July.

That's the kind of heat I like. Nothing is like walking in the warm wet air. When it gets below 70F give me a jacket. :D I love hot weather, but I have no resistance to the cold. We've been muggy around here too. Some folks hate it though. I see you've found the right way to handle it. ;)
