Don't lump borosilicate with snake oil. There's a reason why Totem uses this instead of the regular acoustic insulation found in other speakers.

Here's what borosilicate is.

In other words, it is paint. Truth in advertising would be to say "Instead of using insulation in our speakers, we paint the insides of the cabinets."
