External amp question

Hi all =)
Just got a HK 247 to replace my Onkyo 602, fine performing but somewhat dated.Now I am using an Infinity TSS 750 system.Looking to upgrade to something like the Energy C 100/200 series or KEF and an external amp like the Emotiva LPA-1.Should I get the amp or speakers first ?

I would say, get the speakers first.

I agree, if you can only do one for now, upgrading to the C series Energy or KEF bookshelf speakers should get you more sound quality improvements for the money. Don't underestimate the 247, it weighs 30 lbs. Adding an amp now is not going to make much difference to your existing satellite speakers.
