Hi all, I'm a total beginner and veeery slowly building up a Home Theater system.
So far I bought an AV Receiver (Yamaha RX-S602), a centre speaker (Monitor Audio Radius 200) and I'm using as front speakers my ancient (but still in mint condition) speakers from a JVC micro stereo:

I am now keeping an eye on the Monitor Audio Radius 270 floorstanders, since I've read that it's better to stick to the same brand/model between Centre and Front speakers.

This is probably a silly question, but I'm wondering, will the MA Radius 270 improve massively the sound quality compared to what I have at the moment?
They cost in the region of 900 USD so I would expect an amazing improvement. Will that be the case?

P.S. Right now I'm thinking to buy subwoofer and surround speakers first and replace the front speakers last

Hard for anyone to tell you what you might consider "improve massively" over the internet, but I'd say it's a good bet that you would likely consider the floorstanders not just a better match but also a sound quality improvement in a few ways over your older/smaller speakers....but hard to say whether that should be next or last....I'd probably go for a sub next myself, tho.

Monitor Audio is a big clear step up over JVC
