Era 4 amp receiver requirement..

What would be the minimum receiver to purchase for the Era 4 system to gets the best from these speakers.
I was thinking Yamaha 1800, Denon AVR-2808CI
What would be considered overkill?

Another question is for the rear speakers (to be used for movies).
Would I be better off with dipoles (http://www.axiomaudio.com/qs4_main.html), omni directional (http://www.miragespeakers.com/v2/product_page.php?open=lines&subid=613&id=614) or the Era 4's

Either of those receivers would be fine unless you are listening at extreme levels. I listened to them with an Integra 5.3 that has 100w/ch and it could push them to as loud as I was comfortable with. David Solomon (one of the owners of era) recommends at least 75w/ch of good power. I have heard other people say that the more power you give them the better they sound.

Between those two amps, I would choose the Yamaha, just for the 4 HDMI inputs. It's also a pretty powerful amp so it should drive the D4 just fine.
