Like I said, I'm toying with the idea. Logic tells me to get the AVR for more flexibility in the future. However, I think it be nice to have a stereo stereo set up where I can't get distracted by any video stuff (I have ADHD off the wazoooooooo).

OH MY GOD a Parasound product for less than $1000..... Jaw just dropped.
I starting using my old AVR-3805 again last year and got so used to it now I feel my Halo A21 (hardly used) seems redundant, along with also idling Marantz amp. You wanna make me an offer?:D

Ohhh. What model Marantz amp you have? About 325 watts from your A-21 into my BMRs would probably be a bit overkill for my purposes.

I have 2, the 2 channel one is a SM-7. That one is not for sale even if it just sits idle. The A21 is rated 250 W 8 ohms , 400 W 4 ohms iirc .

WOW! that Marantz SM-7 looks like a real beauty. I wouldn't sell that either.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but the outlaw rr2160 might be a consideration!
It is a stereo receiver with a solid Powers Supply and a bit of sub management built-in.
People seem to either love or hate the look!

Ohhhh. looks good on the internals however, can't say I'm a big fan of the design at all. IMO that's something you buy knowing that it's gonna be hidden down in the media rack.

Yet some find that a better "design" than others with the same features....ymmv.

Yep. It's all subjective. If I were to buy solely on looks, I'd probably go with peach tree audio. I think they have some of the best looking products.

Definitely. Never found anything from Peachtree appealing at all. Their specs for the price are also not appealing....

Besides that fact that it just looks awesome and you can show off to friends; what audible advantages would you get out of using a McIntosh MA5300 vs a Yamaha 801 to power your speakers?
Bragging rights, McIntosh gear speaks for it self doesn't need showing off.

are you kidding me? a box that just lights up with the McIntosh logo (no other functionality) for $1,500 bucks? There's a reason I'm in my 60's and still can't afford a McIntosh product. I can't even afford the simple light up box with the words on it.

Good post :)
I can just see some turd buying one of those and it being the only thing Mac they own...o_O

What you two's are missing with High-end gear is if you have to ask how much?, Then you can't afford the gear in the first place.:D. 2nd, then your a married cat with a wife who would tell you it doesn't match her high-heel shoes and the ' Rooster' goes cockadoodledoo:p.

@Bucknekked, Arizona huh?, isn't that where then CowGirls go 'BuckWild' o_Olol. I heard some even get thrown off that mechanical bull:eek: end up next to the bar owner on her knees . Just gotta dustoff the 'Poncho' van,'villa'.:D Guess even a Bar Owner gotta give a Dog A Bone.:D. lmao.

The BMR's are awesome on the high/ mid. They seems "dry" with out a sub though. But like I said in the previous post it's a bookshelf speaker and not a sub-woofer. I'm paring it with my HSU right now and it's just bliss to my ears. The four that really stood out to me were:

"S.K.J." - Take 4 by Wes Montgomery - I'm hearing every intricacy and noise from the recording and the clarity of the brushes on the drums.

"Summertime" - Kat Edmonson - Vocals are super. I could hear each little tonal inflection, hesitation, pitch change perfectly; while all getting the mids as well (the Klipsch did NOT do this)

Electric Love - BORNS Sound stage A++.

Thinking of A Place - War On Drugs - Sound stage A++

There're super great for Jazz/ Classical/ Instrumental. Even rap too with the sub. The major thing IMO that the BRM's do that the Klipsh do NOT do is Mids. There's a very even balance between the highs & mid. It seems like the tweeters on the Klipsh just on on like overdrive mode at all times. For the price I feel like a got a deal + got some extra $ left over for something else.
