I couldn't disagree more. I think the 6.3's sound and looks 100x better then the RC70's. The even sound better after 100+ hours of break in time.

Has anyone heard the Energy V6.2? Its the 2 1/2 way version of the V6.3 and cant find any pro reviews at all. Would the extra midrange matter all that much in a home theater room?

Energy Veritas v6.3, v5.2, v5.1

I have had a number of high end speakers since the late 1970s. There are some that are great others so so, none bad. I have been using the new Veritas line for about a year now and they just get better and better(as a previous poster alluded). Removing them right from the box and auditioning them is problematic. Breakin time is a must, having said this, it is not the only thing that is needed to maximize the sound experience. Placement of the units and the ability to adjust frequency and other fine tuning through the pre- amp adds to the listing pleasure. In the end, I believe, this line of speakers are among the best out there even comparing to those outside their price point. With varying listening preferences some will agree and others will ponder.

I am concerned about the future of energy speakers and the veritas line. The company is twice removed from its origional standards with the lastest sale to the new owners, Audiovox. The veritas line is experiencing a clearout in the US and remours in Canada is that it will be discontinued as well in an attempt to concentrate on more mass appeal lower priced speaker system.

AVR and subwoofer recommendation for a 5.1 setup based on Energy Veritas 6.3

Hello All

Thanks for the review. I unfortunately got to read this post the purchase.

I am a newbie to this forum and thanks in advance, to anyone that would invest the effort in helping me out.

I've recently bought the Veritas 6.3 towers + 5.2C center + V-S surrounds for a media room = dedicated bonus room = 14.9 * 16.5 depth with an approx 2700 cu.ft.

I'd say 70 % music + daily dose of TV + weekend movies is how I'd put it. ipad / ipod airplay + Roku + Dish TV is all I can think of, for now. Xbox later on I guess.

I'd appreciate some help in narowing down on an appropriate sub and a receiver that has the hauling power needed to feed these towers to get the most out of them. Based on the specs of the speaker setup, can you please suggest which of these would be a good choice ?

The cut sheet reads "Recommended Amplifier Power up to 250 watts RMS" .

I am somewhat constrained on the budget, so if your suggestion is high end separates may need some deeper thought at my end.

I am trying to see if certain models of the Marantz, Yamaha- Aventage would suffice.
Have a great day !

^^ These speakers are most likely easy to drive, according to the many reviews I have read as I was leaning towards these a while back, that "up to 250 watts" is just stating the obvious, any more power than that is just not needed and not very beneficial to the health of the speakers.I believe a mid range receiver would let these sing as they should I think 100 wattsx7 would suffice , here is a great deal on a really nice Marantz-MARANTZ SR5007 100w x7 NetworkingTheater Receiver w/AirPlay 3D 4K | Accessories4less

a 93.5 sensitivity at 8 Ohms is fairly easy to drive without doing the high end separates.

I have the 6.2s, the 5.2, and the 5.1s for surrounds and they function just fine in a smallish room with my Marantz SR5007.
