Energy Take Classic 5.1 Speakers

I don't know which forum to put this in (Speakers or Subs), so I'll put it in both. I'm new to A/V. I try to do my due diligence and read reviews. One of the sources is CNET. They rated the Energy as excellent. However, the sub seems like it would be a little deficient, as it only goes down to 33 Hz. There will be space and money considerations, as I'm looking for a relatively compact arrray. What would you recommend? In one thread, some recommended the Behringer B2030p for sats (although they only seem to be for musicians as monitors---would they be appropriate for home use?) and the Dayton sub. I plan to get the Yamaha rxv3900 receiver. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You'd get a much better setup through mixing and matching bookshelves and a sub. Still if you want a great sub you will need to be ready to pay for it.

Any suggestions for small bookshelf speakers? The room is 8 X 14: an enclosed balcony, glass on 3 sides. And yes, I'm willing to pay for a sub within reason.

What's your budget for this system and what feature set are you looking for? The 3900 would seem to be overkill for this sort of speaker set and room size.

I agree, I would adjust the budget some and put more toward the speakers since the speakers make a much bigger difference in your sound. Not that there is anything at all wrong with going with the biggest baddest receiver you can afford, but when you do that to power something like the Takes, it is a little out of proportion.
