I'm looking into buying an old set of Energy C-6s, and a Denon AVR-1910 Receiver (link was below, but my post count is too low, sorry!) for HT and a large amount of music. with my current budget, i would likely stick with buying only these two and then slowly adding a center and surrounds with time.
Are the C-6s a bad idea to buy, considering their age?
Is this a good plan?
is the output of the receiver too low for such powerful speakers? And is there a way to set the receiver to a more aggressive 2.1 system until i can afford more speakers?
Is a sub the next step for this setup?
