End of an Era...........

Seriously, I have no life.
Those of us old enough can remember SS Kresge back in the days of FW Woolworth.............

Spartan Atlantic, Sears, Treasure Island, Arlan's- that was before conglomeration and large corporate buyouts and closings.

I would look at the CEOs and Presidents who may have been successful in previous jobs, but came from different industries- they didn't now what they were getting into and didn't learn. Koss Corporation was driven into the ground in a very short time by a CEO who had come from the air compressor industry.

As a kid I absolutely loved going to Kmart. They could have been Walmart if managed better.
And I do remember Kresge and Woolworth as well as Grants back in the day.

Yeah, we had a Grants up the road a bit when I was in High School. My girlfriend and I would walk up there every other month or so to eat the fried clams with French fries.Thats about all I could afford back then . :)
