Yall suck, no sign of mine.......

Why am I excited to see pictures of Rick's amp when I am the one that sent it to him?
I'm still laughing at the way you packed the hockey pucks.:D
Everything was wrapped very well.
The hockey pucks were especially safeguarded with one of Greg's old socks.
Do you want it back? Or can I keep it as a souvenir? I'll never wash it again...

Hey guys, need some of your opinions. I currently am powering my B&W 802's, HTM-1 and SCMS with the new Yamaha RX-z3900. I have my 802's bi-amped but am thinking about purchasing either an XPA-2 or an XPA-5 and using the Yamaha as a Pre/Pro.

My question is, should I get the XPA-2 and power my fronts while using the Yamaha's amps to power my Center and Rears, or should I go for the XPA-5, bi-amp my fronts and use the extra amp to power my Center? This way, the Yamaha can be used for the backs and as a Pre/Pro?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Take a look at some IcePower amps...

Kal Rubinson, "Stereo in the Round" writer for Stereophile Mag, runs his 802D's with Bel Canto's. He has been running them for a couple of years.

I believe he just did a review of the new Bel Canto Ref1000's MkII's

You can find the exact same IcePower modules in D-Sonic or Wyred4Sound, I have both and am very happy with the results.. YMMV and the prices are definately higher then Emotiva, just throwin out some options...

Emotiva vs Ice Power

Do you think the Ice Power modules from D-Sonic or Wyred4Sound are better than Emotiva's? The pricing is double or in some cases more than double. I don't mind an AB Amp as opposed to a class D...

Well what the heck happened? No pics. No squeal of joy.

Did you drop it on your hand and you can't type?
Did you wife find out and you can't come out to play?
Did UPS leave it in the rain?

If I go the Emotiva route, is the XPA-2, which is a more burly amp going to be a better solution than the XPA-5 where I can bi-amp my fronts and use the extra amp for my Center? Emotiva says their XPA-2 sounds better and is more powerful. Question is, is it that much better than the XPA-5 if I can bi-amp the speakers...
