Emotiva or Denon ... or ? Looking for opinions.

My fault for starting something... But, you should have read the thread. He has 5 speakers. Why buy an XPA-5 and hook up the surrounds to the AVR? Either way, its moot... his budget is around 1300. Like I said, my fault.
Nope, that is totally my fault for not reading the thread.......that woulkd be WAY over budget LOL!!

Need a new Reciever/amp

Amps are great if you plan on building a system. For your speakers a lot of avr's will be more than enough. For example, Pioneer has avr's with class D amps that will hold there power with all channels driven. A good rule is to get an amp 30-50 watts rated higher than your speakers. Pioneer Elite amps perform well and on audio forums, you do not see a lot of people having problems with these avr's. Denon and Marantz also make some very good avr's. Other will chime and lend more advice. Good luck!
