No, I have to wait till early next year before I can do anything. I will be starting a new job in Nov. so the pay raise will help, but most of the money will come from me selling back a lot of unused PTO. So I still have plenty of time to shop around and decide on what I want to do.

Adam pretty much nailed it down. You order the chassis for $303 and then each module costs $199. They ship them seperately no matter how many you get for cost reasons. Look at my photo bucket under my sig and you will see 3 amp modules on the table before I installed them. It takes about 5 minutes a module to install so dont worry about that. You have to call to get anything less than 7 modules, they wont do it over the internet.

The 12 v trigger is no big deal, it's just kind of funny that they did it this way but all you need is a 2 dollar cable from the Rat Shack and it works great.

I will definitely keep this in mind when I finally get the funds.

Fiscal responsibility has no place here. Get out. :)

Having time is a good thing. There's a lot of good equipment out there to think about. For me, it came down to Emotiva or Outlaw Audio (I didn't do too much thinking, though). I like Outlaw's multi-channel amps, but they are a little more expensive.

I already spent a lot lately on upgrading my speakers. Hopefully I can find a good deal on a used amp, but if not I think emotiva will be the way to go.
