But calling 6" active monitor for $800/each "entry level" - sorry - this smell like crud, like publishing 120db scale and smoothed measurements ...

Sorry, it just doesn't look to me like the best thing since sliced bread:
Actually I believe they are $799/pair with 20% off for existing Emotiva customers and FREE shipping.

The pro-audio monitor market is pretty crowded already, I don't see why Emotiva would bother entering in it, especially at those prices. Hopefully, they can distinguish themselves from their competitors by having a above average product with their reputation for good customer service. They do look like nice speakers though, hopefully I have the opportunity to hear them one day.

Unfortunately I can't compare them side by side to my JBL LSR2325p which I paid $160/ea [on sale, regular price about $200/ea] from big name vendor [including free shipping and 30 day returns] but I'll keep my doubts regarding "significant improvements" in performance of Airmotiv5 with thrice the price sticker...

I thing GranteedEV posted LSR2325p plots somewhere, but I can't find them now

:D I seriously doubt a heil tweeter mated to a 6.5" woofer can match these polars:

As for the sound, I dunno, without hearing the Emotiva. Obviously Adam Monitors are reknowned and they use a similar driver alignment, but I know I'd rather have the speakers that measure well and sound good, personally, than speakers that sound good but don't measure well.
