I found two speaker companies ive never heard of for sale on ebay. One is called Cadence Acoustic Systems. They said they sell direct and the 19 series looks tight for a 5 speaker system for $500 total. If you don't know them maybe you can check it out and tell me what you think by the pictures and specs they show in their ebay store. The other was Vaus audio. I found them in the All About Audio store on ebay. They had high end looking speakers and vaus audio has their own website. It looks kinda shady to me. One model they had was the VA-6000. If anybody has heard anything about these or would please check out the ebay sales or the vaus audio website and tell me what you think!

hmmm. have seen them around before, but havent heard them setup.
Me personally, i wouldnt run anything that isnt heard of much, the whole reason why the top manufactures are the top is due to their high quality productions, if something is unheard of then it may be due to poor qualities. if it was a top quality bit of kit then it would be a well known brand. if thats helped you out. all in all they dont look too bad. but its still a no no to me

I agree sounds like white van.

"COMPATIBLE WITH DIGITAL SURROUND SYSTEMS"
"1" Soft Silk Dome Neodymium Tweeter with Ferro Fluid Cooling"

I'd say any speaker with fluid cooling is a good candidate.

Not necessarily.
You hear about other manufacturers because of the amount of money that goes in to commercial advertisement and creating demand.
I looked at their center channel and it's quite possible to manufacture and sell at this price. (China) Don't think it's going to be anything special but probably quite compatible with $300 equal from Best Buy or circuit City.
Buy it with credit card through Pay Pall. Return it if you don't like it (they have return option) and if they prove to be difficult, back charge it.

That isn't true. My dad's older Onkyo speakers have ferro fluid cooled tweeters.

MCM and a few other vendors sell Ferro fluid and a syringe. It's not expensive, either.

Interesting. I stand corrected. I definitely never knew that. I think I'll keep my mouth shut next time. What about the "compatible digital surrounds system" part though. Isn't that rule number 3 in the Audioholics "Top Ten Things to Avoid in Home Audio Loudspeakers (most cases)"? Or is this a "most case"?

Since I own some EMP's you would think that I would be more open minded on this type of thing.

I have heard of Cadence, but I am not sure if it's the same cadence. I suggest you stick to brands that are known or at least reviewed. You can always try calling or emailing the company.

Cadance is a fairly new speaker company that was an offshoot of another well known brand (forget which one though) they have donw some advertising in HT Magazine and full page ads in Sound and Vision Mag. I couldn't tell you more than that though, and I never heard of the other speaker company. But with speakers I feel yu should hear them first before buying them (unless they are highly regarded on A/V sites like AV123, SVS and others who have great customer support and a good return policy.

I have purchased 2 of the Vaus Audio home theater system in the past year and found them to be a great set of speakers. I have heard several large name brands and can seriously put the Vaus Audio brand in those categories. I do a large amount of speaker research and can say that if you are thinking of purchasing the Vaus systems than I would definitely go with it. Also, I have compared these to the Bose system and if not better the Vaus and the Bose they are definitely comparable. It is a sure Good Buy!

Wow. A brand new poster, 1 post, praising a no-name speaker, giving no concrete information, and name-dropping *cough* Bose.

If you're sincere, that's great, but I'm just going to inform you not to be dissappointed if people don't take this post seriously.

First of all, The reason I came on here to post this was because I was extremely happy with my purchase’s of the Vaus products and felt it was the right thing to do. Some of the reviews in this forum are obviously written by uneducated people because to me it sounds like they have NO Idea what they are talking about... As for being sold out of a van...I have researched and spoke with customer support down at Vaus Audio, being my concerns with reading this as well, and as they explained it to me was for me to just google any “white van speaker” and you will see that they have been sold in every parking lot from California to Main...If you google the Vaus Audio Speaker all I found was a lot of positive feedbacks on their product within Ebay and other sites...So that is why I decided to purchase...To me, and I am sure a lot of other people would agree, the person who purchased the item and left the feedback was more knowledgeable than a person who is giving a opinion on a forum who does not even own or has tested the actual product! That is why I had to come forth and state my opinion and I do hope it does help those unsure buyers.

As opposed to yourself and your extensive experience with and knowledge of Bose systems.

Ahh yes. Why should I listen to a bunch of musicians, professional and ameture speaker builders, and audio engineers with long posting histories when I can read reviews on eBay.

Don't spread your garbage here, no one is buying it. Enjoy having no reputation during your certain short stay at AH.

I'm sure no one noticed, but I went ahead and did some quick digging. One of the pictures of a subwoofer that's repeatadly shown on the "vaus" website is a custom design subwoofer made by Tube Audio Design. The company is clearly a rip off and a sham. I believe I've seen those big tower speakers they supposedly have as well. They also have pictures of some Swan speakers claiming again they are theres. They have pictures of the front and back of most of the speakers that are not their brands, but the black ugly thin towers only have picture of the fronts, those must be the ones they are selling out of vans, the black fugly towers.:D
