I just moved to the US from the UK and now have to buy a load of new equipment (yes, shame, isn't it?

). However, one problem is that I have a lot of region 2 DVDs and also some PAL videos. Talking to other Europeans who have moved here, it's clear that this is a problem, as the US doesn't seem to sell NTSC/PAL TVs and unlike the UK, where every DVD player can be hacked, there's no mention that I can find anywhere on how to do this. In Fry's and Best Buy etc. they just look at you blankly (though that may not be unique to my situation possibly...).
So I'm looking to understand what players can I buy that can be hacked easily to play region 2 and also if it's possible to then take the (presumably PAL) signal and display it successfully. Can anyone help?
Thanks.
