DVD / Video Game Storage question...

I have an odd question. Does know if there could be damage to CDs and/or DVDs from storing them on a shelf DIRECTLY under or above a CRT TV? The reason I ask is that I know some discs can be affected by magnetic waves and such. Has anyone ever heard anything about this or even thought about it at all? Just curious. Thanks in advance for any input.

CDs and DVDs are not magnetic media like VCR and cassette tapes. They will not be wiped clean if you put them up against a strong magnetic field.

Heat... well, heat is a bad thing. But, it has to be pretty darn hot, not just warm.
