I would think that repairing a high quality DVD player would be worth repairing Toshiba’s SD-9200. This was a $2000 player when new.
It seems that the local repair shops are hesitant and do not recommend repairing DVD players I am somewhat disappointed with there view. Does anybody know of a repair center in the United States? I don’t have any problems with shipping.

I had/have a denon dvd2200 that went on the blink after a long power outage.I tried to find who could fix it,everyone said wasnt worth it.I subsequently went to sound advice/tweeter.They took it in,sent it to get repaired and i had it back within 10 days.I had also bought a new player(marantz dv6500) when i thought i wasnt going to be able to repair the denon.Got it back and replaced the marantz.I dont know if you can contact them but give it a try.

I would think this depends on what is wrong with it, how much to repair and how old it is. You may be able to replace it for about what it costs to repair and shipping? As was suggested, try that service first. Have you called Toshiba, or emailed them?
