DVD player, MP3 ???

Anyone knows if a DVD player that can read MP3 on DVD-R or DVD+R exist?
Available to Canadian market.

I'm not sure... i burned one with Nero and tested it in about 4 different ones and it didnt work which pissed me off... so i'd like to know too if it actually exists or if Nero just makes you piss money away burning discs that will never work.

it's the player...

As far as I know it's the player itself that cannot handle a DVD with data on it other than the regular .VOB etc..

Wouln't be great to have all your discography on 3-4 DVD full of mp3?

Yes, there is a player

I read a review of the Philips DVP642 DVD player. The player seems like a "jack of all trades" player. Price: Approx $70 (U.S. $$) at Best Buy and other retailers. It should be available to you in Canada.

Pretty much any entry-level DVD player purchased in the last 12 months will play MP3s/WMAs off of a DVD. Go to your local electronics store and look for the MP3 logo on most DVD players.

The Pioneer DV-578A does MP3/WMA. The new DV-588A will also play MPEG4 and DivX files from a DVD as well.

The manual for the Yamaha DVD-S1500 states that it will support MP3-CD and mentions specifically ISO9660 format . This implies that it will not read a DVD with MP3's. I'll probably try this soon.
