DVD player for audio cd

I have a decent two channel bedroom music system (Adcom, Rotel, Thiel). I have this hooked up to a Panasonic progressive scan dvd player which is starting to give me trouble. It doesn't want to read the dvds for some reason and has started to skip. I am going to replace this player but I use my system for 90% music and 10% movies. I have a good home theatre in my den for the movies. The question is for $300, what dvd player will give me the best music playback. My pre-amp doesn't have a digital processor, so I guess I'm asking for the dvd player in this price range that has the best DAC.
Thanks in advance.

Can anyone think of a universal player that has better DAC's than the Dennon 3910?

Budget

Thanks Karp and keenan. They are both great players with excellent DACs but both are a bit out of my budget for a bedroom system. I may can stretch a bit more than the $300 but I definitely don't want to spend $800+ for a dvd player.
Thanks,
Jeff

The 2900 shares the same DAC as the 5900. Here is a very good thread from diyaudio that Gordon/Alex referred to on avsforum: Passive I/V DAC is a balanced PCM1704K vs. Denon 2900 DVD using the BB PCM/DSD 1792 and standard I/V (op amps) Please register to see pics of the measurement graphs for THD + N as posted in this linked thread. The PCM1704 DAC is a single channel DAC which is an excellent DAC and is used in players made by Ayre and Sim Audio.
