Has anyone connected a Denon DVD 5900 player through its DVI? I can not get a picture as I can using component cables. And I know the TV DVI input is ok as it works when connected to the satellite receiver. I also can not get any response from Denon Tech Services.A
The manual for the DVD 5900 DVI has very limited information but I've done the following:
Set the DVD Mode DVI SETUP to 1080i and my Mitsubishi WS-65813 Monolink (DVI) input accordingly. Also set the Pure Direct mode to Normal.
One peculiar thing is I can get a picture using the component cables regardless if the DVD mode DVI SETUP is 1080i or DVI OFF.
I understand this DVD only upconverts video to high-def when the DVI is used therefore my interest. What am I missing?
