Tape, vaccum, putty, heating it with a blow dryer....nothing... It's a Infinity Primus PC250, btw...if anyone has a better idea, please let me know!

You will probably go through (or have already gone through) the following,

1) Shock
You through the cell phone at me and it damaged the speaker. How could you do that?

2) Denial
You threw the cell phone, what if it was a knife. How could you do this to my speaker!

3) Anger
You have reuined the speaker. You BITTCH.

4) Acceptance
I need to fix the speaker you broke by throwing the cell phone at me.

5) Moving on
I cant fix the speaker, I need a new one.

And while you are at it, get a new GF too (unless she is unbearably hot). It is a bad sign. Get out before she actually throws a knife at you.

A while back, I had a GF who spitefully dumped bleach in a "darks" laundry load. She was gone before the wash cycle was finished.

It will affect very fine detail, but for the most part it is not likely to make a big difference in the way the speaker sounds unless it is BADLY pushed in. I wouldn't worry about it if you can't hear the difference during normal listening.

this worked for me

I once used a bent pin to drag the dust cap up and then covered the tiny hole with some clear glue. It was an invisible repair.

I could see that working for a paper cone, but not so much for an aluminum or poly/plastic one.

You can purchase replacement drivers for that unit from Infinity for a reasonable price if it bothers you that much. Other wise you are best to leave an aluminum cap dented. You risk further weakening the aluminum. The Infinity cones are a more brittle form of aluminum as they contain a ceramic composite. Very strong yes, but brittle for use other than the intended application. i.e. resisting cellphone projectiles. :D

I've said screw it and I am just going to leave it dented. The problem is that I have the speaker vertical and not horizontal and because how the screen is it you can't put it on while it is vertical...so I will just leave it being dented, w/e, not that big of a deal (if it was a more expensive speaker, I would be though).

and rofl, she though it more jokingly than anything, she just has terrible aim and hit the speaker instead rofl. It's cool though, really not that big of a deal.

did you at least pick up the cell phone and throw it back?

Is she still your girl friend? :D I second the recommendation to use a small needle to try and pop it out, or maybe the needle plus some tape/putty pulling simultaneously while pushing the dent with the needle. All dent's can be popped back out, it's just a matter of trial and error.

I don't know if you did a sound test yet, but the local BB had a dented Infinity Primus tweeter in one tower and not the other. It stood out like a shrill, sore thumb.

Beat her.
