Slow start as expected, a lot of info in that episode. We'll see how it develops, it was interesting enough that I will keep watching. Production value seemed good.

As a Dune fan (since 1977)....I absolutely hated it.
Everything about it screamed cheap drivel....glorified fan fiction.

Travis Fimmel was the only good thing about it.

Seemed to be a lot of mixed reaction to it. We'll see where it goes. It does feel like they are trying too hard and it comes across a bit flat.

Biggest problem is basing it on one of Frank's sons books....that are truly juvenile compared to the 6 Frank Herbert originals, and as far as I'm concerned...non-canon.
I'm pretty sure if Frank were alive and someone told him the setup for this series, he would have strongly objected.

I am moderately interested still. It has a moment here and there, but basically is like reading the dictionary. Extremely dense and slow moving. It needs to get moving soon though.

It got much better thankfully. S2 already greenlit before the short season even ended.

Haven't watched it yet but as a longtime Dune reader I'm sure I will.
