Hey guys and gals,

First post here, so please be gentle.

I have at present the following gear:

JAMO D870 fronts
JAMO D830 REARS
JAMO D8Centre
JAMO C80SUR REAR REAR
2x JAMO C80SUB
YAMAHA RX V1073 FOR HT
MARANTZ UD7007 FOR MOVIES AND MUSIC
MARANTZ SM11S1 SC11S1 FOR 2 channel.

So now you know what I have, I would like to ask what's the best way to setup the 2 subs I have for movies. I will be placing them front right corner and rear left corner of the room. Is it just a case of playing with the levels until everything transitions nicely thru the room?

Or is there some specifics I need to know about(room nodes Etc)

Thanks
Cameron

Hi, thanks for the links.

Looks like its going to be fairly straight forward.

My room has an open back. Length wise from the open back into the kitchen is 4.5m. Width is 3.5m. Height is 2.8m. Is the opposite corner placement optimal for this room? Or is there a better option? If i were to put them here, left rear corner sub will be behind our viewing/listening couch. The right front sub will also be in front of the end of another couch up against the righthandside wall? Any input would be much appreciated.

I don't know Yamaha bass management or room EQ system, but 60Hz is the recommended crossover point for those speakers according to SVS's Merlin.
Yeah I'm under the impression the YPAO Equalizer isn't the best. Just by reading around. Thanks for the link. I've pretty much got that all sorted. Speakers set to small, xover at 60Hz. More about room placement.

Room node calculator suggests 2.75 feet from left wall and 8.25 from left wall. So both subs will be at the front next to my mains.
