Hey everyone,
Ive been looking at getting some used paradigms and i found a great deal on studio 60 v3s but he says one of the midrange drivers needs to be replaced. How much do you think it will run me for a replacement midrange driver if i end up buying these speakers?

Wouldn't an email, phone call, or even a snail-mail letter to Paradigm have a better chance of getting a knowledgableanswer to this question?

Agreed. Email Paradigm support with the model number and which driver. You may also want to find out *what* is wrong with it. I recently had to replace the domes on the tweeters of my own Studio 60v3's (for sale BTW, but at average used prices), but not the tweets themselves (the domes were $50ea).

I already got the info i needed actually but i was hoping someone would chime in quicker or could just give me a quick estimate because the seller was waiting for a response from me. I got an estimate of about $150. Thanks anyway everyone.

One hour passed between your first post to your last.

How much quicker did you expect a response?

And, if you already had the info, why did you ask us?

Well if i knew the answer already i wouldn't have asked. Two different people told me two totally different estimates. One of them was just miscommunication between me and somebody else but i wanted to try to clarify as quickly as possible because I am not the only person making this guy offers on his speakers.

You guys seem slightly annoyed that Im even asking this question. If I'm misunderstanding you guys then I'm sorry but I think I'm sensing a little hostility.

I'm glad you got it sorted out and hope it was in time to take advantage of the deal.

Is that for the Midrange or Bass unit? Are you replacing the entire driver? I've wanted to take one of those apart. I'll pay shipping for your broken one if yuo are getting rid of it.

He has a guy who is possibly interesting going to look at them tomorrow so if he doesn't buy them I should be taking a drive up this weekend to have a look at them myself and probably purchasing. All he's told me is that he thinks the midrange drivers needs to be replaced so hopefully thats all. My dad used to work for a lot of these companies so he will be tagging along and he should be able to tell me where the source of the problem is. I don't see any reason why id need to keep a damaged driver so i'l keep you up to date.

Well I am the proud new owner of Paradigm Studio 60 v3 speakers. I got to the guys house to listen to the damaged driver and pick them up and we actually couldn't get it to distort at all. He said he was thinking of calling me and canceling because he price was so low and apparently they are in working order. I will have to give them a better listen once i get a chance to hook them up at home but either way i got a great deal on these speakers.
