(1) perfect room (2) less likely perfect equip
If upgrades were free, I'd build a new room and use the speakers I have now.
My best HT system is in my den. I enjoy the sound ,the location and the openness. But from a perfect acoustic environment, and abiltiy to locat sepaekers, it is much less than perfect. I am with Davemcc, I would like to design a pefect room around my current equipment.
My other room, the medai room, is a converted beroom and is bascially a dedicated audio/video room. The acoustics are better but its orientation is different with PS2, PS3, Xbox360, Xbox, Wii, and Nintendo 64, DS light, ipod docking, remote keyboards, internet access all active.and all their associated controllers and CDs, etc. all over. Because of the "stuff" and the leather couches it is not conducive to my "Golden Enhancment' and there fore like the music room ( another story in itself

) i usually do not particpate in the medai room except to fix a problem or hook something else up.
I would really like to try some Martin Logan speakers, some higher end B &Ws , or ideally some Wilson Audio

along with a nice solid sub, a Gotham g213. And I would rive it all with McIntosh pre-pros and amps. Now that would be really nice.
