Realistically within the next five years I see Momma and I making a move to smaller surroundings. My mind has wondered to smaller yet sonically acceptable speakers, these have peaked my interest a bit........

Anyone else by chance hear them ?

This is a bit old, but anyway a friend has Buchardt actives-A400 I think.
- Speaking as a loudspeaker engineer that huge waveguide on a tweeter is the way to go, I'm surprised it has not caught on sooner.
- I have not heard his speakers, but he quite likes the sound. They measure well (See below).
- Understand there is something called "Hoffman's Iron Law" which says small speakers designed to put out low bass will be power hungry. If you want to play loud you'll want an amplifier rated for a good chunk of power into 4 ohms...or better yet 2Ω.
Here's a test of those

and of the original, showing a low impedance.

Those ASR reviews are pretty rough on those speakers. Format wise, they remind me of the March Audio Sointuva, which, while considerably more expensive, are much more drool worthy. Maybe the exchange rates would bring them into contention.
