Down to a few sets of speakers...

I have been auditioning speakers and am down to a few pairs.
I have heard them all except one pair, and I will hear them soon. Problem is I heard them all in different rooms, so I was looking for some feedback.

The final pairs I have narrowed down to are
Paradigm Studio 20
Monitor Audio S2
Ascend 170SE
Boston Acoustics VRB

and if I can find them used..
Monitor Audio GR10
Onix Ref 1

I will be listening to about 70% music(all different types), 25% movies, 5% TV
I am open to any suggestions as well

I'd love to able to help, but all those speakers are out my grasp right now..lol.
I have been checking out the Studio 20's quite extensively as of late and really like them, just not sure there are worht $800 CDN. My brother in-law is a big Monitor Audio guy, they do sound terrific! The Silver line he had were the clearest, most open soundstage speaker I had heard at the time. Until he upgraded to the floor standing golds, powered by a Conrad Johson and Denon 5800... WOW, it's like front seats at a concert and better then most theatres for movies.
Sound, to me anyway, just seems a little less forced and more natural from the Monitor Audios then the Paradigms. My $.02.

Those GR10's are just fantastic speakers IMO and would esily be my choice from what you've listed. I prefer the sound of PSB Stratus Mini Monitors to the paradigms, but that is a personal thing.
