dolby 5.1 & onkyo 707

I have a new onkyo 707 avr and I can not get dolby D to show on display when playing a dolby 5.1 dvd. it shows pl11z . Blu-ray shows true hd or master audio. What am I doing wrong? Please...HELP!

If you have all 7 speakers connected, by default it will use PLIIz to convert it to 7.1. You can change the default in the menu or just press the surround mode button until it cycles back to Dolby D.
