It seems the means to store and process digital audio is still evolving; yet, some here have settled into a preference for getting downloads or disc material into their computers, as well as getting that music out to their AVRs or prepros, which makes some sort of sense for them. I too have settled into a preference. It's iTunes for stereo pleasure. But, thing is, iTunes does not host multi-channel downloads and programs that do I cannot exploit, since my prepro is pre HDMI. Also, although some have equipment which can apparently nefariously copy DSD from SACD, I do not have such equipment so I still buy SACDs to enjoy from my OPPO 205. At any rate, my point on the subject of computer audio is we're either still in the learning curve, or we've quit, having become satisfied, disinterested, or bored with it all.
