Hello, before I begin I would like to inform you that I have made a previous posting on the exact topic with little detail. If you have read my earlier posting I would appreciate a more considerate look. I have a pair of Audiosphere Technologies 2 way speakers. They are approx. 2 1/2 feet tall a foot wide and about 1 1/4 feet deep. They consist of one 8" poplypropelene or ICP bass midrange drivers and I replaced the old and unfortunaltly badly damaged tweeters with some generic one inch titaniums for now. they sound great (as far as the original speaker goes) and have execellent bass response and are quite tight, even though I'm running them with a sunsui 771 reciever which is nice as a vintage piece but very inconvenient and it definatly holds back their sound quality which still amazes me when the Sansui opens up. They are build very well with isolation gaskets, fibreglass insulation, 1/2 plywood and inner (overkill) bracings, the magnet on the back of the woofers are very large and read "Audiosphere", and nothing more. Other than the one word "Audiosphere" they say nothing, and I'm shocked and dumbfounded at the sound of these speakers, considering they are quite old and the cross-overs and well more than out dated. They are perfectly balanced bewtween component and port characteristics making them attractive and still fully detailed when postioned on their side such as an old school studio monitor. They're definatly not the best speakers in the world but I've lived with a very nice set up of Studio Reference speakers by Paradigm, as well as the heart stopping setup of 6 Klipsch vintage Heresy's with a collection of very nice components coming from companies such as Robertson, McIntosh, Musical Fidelity, Luxman (M02), I am also familiar with many other high end companies that are even considered to be THE BEST such as, Krell, Wilson Audio, B&W, Linn, Oracle, Mark Levinson, Grand Utopia, and I am astounded at the sound for the $20 I paid for them without considering the new wiring I did and the $20 a piece tweeters I through in, if anyone can give me an explination of what I have I would be at much more peace with my world than I currently am (LOL), Thank you, Sincerely Potzi
