The company Dan is referencing to is http://www.theloudspeakerkit.com/ who are based in Austrailia. That's where my problem is. I'm very interested in finding a company here in the U.S. that has the same idea as LSK. I don't necessarily want to build my own speakers from scratch, rather to put together a pre-fabricated kit (to save money). If anyone has had experience or recommend a company that is based upon this same concept, your help would be greatly appreciated. There are a lot of businesses that offer this product, but I don't know which ones are considered "good" and which ones to stear clear from.

There are quite a few companies in the US that sell DIY speaker kits, or offer free plans for kits that they have designed. Most of their products are a great deal compared to retail speakers. Some of their speaker designs are excellent.
