DirecTV/S-Video Questions

Hey-

Just wondering, can I use an S-Video cord to connect my DirecTV TIVO receiver to my Sony (not HD) TV? What's the best connection to use? How can I get EDTV, you know, 480p resolution? Just a little confused and new to all this stuff.

Component video

If you have a component video connection (3 rca connectors, red, green, and blue) then use it to get a 480P signal to the TV. The s-video conneciton can only delever 480i, but it is better than composite video (single yellow rca connector).
