dipole inwall?

I am looking to purchase inwall speakers. I was looking at the dipole speakerscraft speakers. What exactly does dipole mean? this is for a home theater in my basement and I want to find out if this is something that is worth buying. thanks

Dipole speakers have drivers firing in-phase in one direction, while another set of drivers fire out-of-phase in another direction. They provide a more diffuse sound. Di/bi-poles are generally used for the side surrounds, but they can also used for the rears if the room is large enough.
