Dilemma...PB13-Ultra or Supercube Reference

I had my mind made up that I was going to purchase ($1599) the PB13-Ultra from SVS in the near future. Until I found someone selling a near mint Supercube Reference for $900, roughly 50% off. I'm thinking I might buy the Supercube as it is cheaper, and will go with the rest of my components.

Is this the better buy, or should I wait a month and order the PB13-Ultra??

The SVS will definitely outperform the Supercube without even breaking a sweat...Take a look at the craigsub ranking over on AVS. The SVS outperformed the Supercube Trinity which is a substantially more well equiped model compared to the Supercube Reference. If you have the money, go with the SVS you will not be dissapointed...

Edit: Here is the link for the rankings---

Thanks!! I was also looking at some pics of the PB13-Ultra in the for sale section of this forum, and I have to say I love what looks like. I'm going to wait and purchase SVS...

For the record.... for that price.... one could put an Audio Pulse 15" AXIS in a 3 cubic foot Dayton pre-made sealed cabinet combined with a Behringer Ep2500 and DCX2496[for xover and frequency response correction]... and it will easily outperform in every way, even the PB13ULTRA. A 5 cubic foot cabinet is better - it will get you even more LF output - but 3 cubic feet will work.

Get the PB13-Ultra!!!!!:D

I was watching a movie the other day and the amount of bass heard and felt on the explosions was unbelievable. The whole house was shaking and vibrating. I replayed the movie the next day with the metallic grill off and the lights on and the woofer wasn't even moving. (SPL in the room 110db with main amp off and sub working alone)

Don't thank me.

Give thanks to Rick's post above or better yet give him a good rep. Maybe we can get him moved to the top of the list.
